We have had wonderful times recently. We had an Easter outreach this year. Many families attended an Easter event on Saturday with skits, egg hunt, food, games and much more. Easter Sunday we has some special services with a Sunrise Service, Breakfast, Communion and a special Morning Service. We also had a 30 pieces of silver offering at the foot of the Cross which raised $903 for the bus fund. COWSS have completed the challenge with a loss of over 150lbs. Great job to all. HisSong sang to the Lord with a wonderful worship service on May 1st. We are looking forward to the mighty moving of the Spirit of God in the upcoming services. God be praised for all!
We had a wonderful chili cook off. We had 8 contestants and all were winners! The first place trophy went to Rita Barnwell. Paul Lawson took 2nd place and Mike Tinnel walked away with 3rd place. Through this endevor, $455.00 was added to the church bus fund.
An Easter Egg Hunt & Field Day Celebration is planned for Saturday, April 23rd. Come and bring the family and enjoy the fun and festivities. Easter Sunday April 24 we will be having Sunrise Service at 8:30 am followed by Breakfast at 9:00 am. A special Easter Communion will begin at 10:00 am and Easter Worship at 10:30 am. Through all the Events and Celebrations, we must keep in mind the reason for it all. Jesus sacrifice on the cross to pay for our sins and allow us hope of eternity. Not only his sacrifice, but also his resurrection whereby we not only have the oppurtinity of salvation but also hope of life everlasting. Thanks to all who participated in events to raise funds for a church bus.
Over 20 workers gathered last Thursday and produced over 600 fried pies to sell for for the fund. They made apple, peach, and raisin pies to tickle the tastebuds of everyone. Thanks to all. Another fundraiser was cake pops. They were delicious! Hat's off to Patsy Swallows, Dolores Holloway, and Esther Sowder. These two fundraisers have produced over $1,300.00. How wonderful! On Sunday Feb. 27, a beautiful rainbow afghan will be given to the person giving the largest offering for the new bus. Thanks to Rita Barnwell for her hard work making it. Crafting for Life ladies are embroidering names on the Friendship Quilt. The price for each individual name is $5.00. See Dolores Holloway to get your name on the quilt. Praise the Lord for all his blessings upon each and everyone involved in these fundraising activities |
