Congratulations go out to all who read the Bible in a Year! There were thirty-six individuals who completed the challenge. They recieved a nice certificate. If you didn't get a chance to participate last year, take the challenge for this year.
We have celebrated a wonderful 2010. God has blessed us with so much to praise him for. Recently, we had a wonderful Christmas program with the children and youth providing the enactments and showing us the true reason of the season. We have had many events and trips this past year. God has blessed in it all and it is through him that lives have been changed for the better. We welcome you to Pine Grove. Come see how God is changing our lives, who knows, He may even change yours.
May we always take time during this festive holiday season to remember that Jesus is the center of the celebration this year. Thank God for the gift of his Son and the gift of salvation through Him.
On Sunday November 14,2010, we wound up our Operation Christmas Child shoebox campaign. Our challenge was to fill 30 boxes but by church time on Sunday night we had 78. By Monday afternoon we had added 11 more boxes to this total making our total 89 boxes. Praise the Lord for His mighty works.
We celebrated pastor appreciation month in October. Today it was topped off with a special song from the children, a hilarious skit, and some big checks for Pastor Phillip and Sister Ernie. We sure do love and appreciate them.
Operation Christmas Child is well underway. We have until Nov. 14 to get the shoeboxes ready. Fill them up and bless a child in the world. See Katina for details.
We were blessed with a wonderful weekend here at Pine Grove. The fall festival gave children an opportunity to have fun in a christian environment. Games and fun abounded. There was a bounce house, cupcake walk, face painting, crafts, duck pond, bean bag toss, football throw, cornhole, disk toss, toilet paper throw, cookie decorating, barrel train, ring toss, bottle game, pumpkin carving, puppets, and trunks full of treats. Popcorn, hotdogs, and barbecue was served.
Youth services on Sunday were wonderful. 4HISGLORY topped off the night with blacklight puppet ministry. God is good! Many families were blessed this weekend and I've seen some new faces in the services here at Pine Grove Church of God of Prophecy. We will be having our fall festival on Sat. Oct. 30, 2010 from 4 p.m. till 7 p.m. We are looking for a wonderful time with treats, games, and fun. There will be plenty of good times. It is our sincere hope that live can be changed for the better. Come and enjoy the fellowship.
